About Dr. Kim
Dr. Richard Kim is a rheumatologist who believes patients should leave their first visit feeling heard, carefully examined, and confident in the plan ahead. He takes pride in creating a calm, unhurried environment where patients feel respected and clearly understand what’s happening with their care.
CLINICAL INTERESTS AND PHILOSOPHY
Dr. Kim’s approach centers on compassion, thoroughness, and clarity. He prioritizes careful evaluation and takes the time to explain impressions and treatment plans in plain language. His goal is to make sure patients not only receive thoughtful care, but also fully understand it, without confusion or unnecessary medical jargon.
BACKGROUND AND TRAINING
Dr. Kim earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his rheumatology fellowship at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Center of Excellence for Arthritis and Rheumatology in Shreveport, Louisiana. His postgraduate training also includes an internal medicine residency and osteopathic rotating internship at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Music from Franklin and Marshall College.
