Good Faith Estimates

If you would like an estimate of services prior to your appointment, please call 864-527-2309.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers should provide patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost on any non-emergency items or services. This includes the costs like medical tests, prescription drugs and procedures provided by our office.
You can ask your health provider to give you a Good Faith Estimate in writing before you schedule an item or service, or you can request a Good Faith Estimate before your medical services/items are performed.

If you receive a bill from Piedmont Arthritis that is at
least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 984-3059.
