Jocelyn Thompson, PA-C (Previously Jocelyn Campo) is a bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English) board certified Physician Assistant and has been with Piedmont Arthritis Clinic since October 2023. She completed her Bachelor of Science as a biology major at the University of South Carolina graduating with Cum Laude honors. She then completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies through Medical University of South Carolina. Rheumatology experience was obtained while she was a medical scribe for 2 years at Internal Medicine Associates then through both of her elective clinical rotations in pediatric rheumatology (2021) at MUSC and adult rheumatology at Piedmont Arthritis Clinic (2022). These experiences helped spark her interest in the rheumatology specialty even more.
Jocelyn was born in NJ and raised in Greenville, SC. Her parents migrated from Colombia, South America and despite not being born in Colombia, she holds her roots close to her heart. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. On her downtime, she enjoys cooking, trying new foods, and traveling.
Her professional goals as a Rheumatology PA is to become her patients’ healthcare advocate by always providing up-to-date patient education so that they are well informed of their disease process and treatment plan. She welcomes patients from all different walks of life in hopes to help them navigate and manage their overall wellness.
